FAQs

Outpatient therapy through TrailMarker Clinical Group is currently offered to clients who are physically located in Pennsylvania at the time of the session. We are not able to see therapy clients who are in another state during the appointment, even if they usually live in Pennsylvania.
-
Therapy is offered by secure telehealth only at this time. There is not an in-person Pennsylvania office. You will need a private space, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone.

If your plan is Independence Blue Cross or UPMC, we can often start as self-pay while credentialing finishes, then discuss next steps if the plan becomes in network. We will not bill a pending plan as in-network until participation is active.

Yes. Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account cards can be used for self-pay or client-responsibility balances when your plan allows.
-
The standard self-pay rate for a therapy session is $150. A $75 fee applies if an appointment is cancelled or missed with less than 48 hours’ notice, except in documented emergencies. Fees are confirmed at intake and may change with notice.
-
For plans that are not in network, we can discuss a superbill so you may seek reimbursement from your plan. Coverage and reimbursement amounts are determined by your insurer, not by TrailMarker.
-
Please cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations or missed appointments with less than 48 hours’ notice are subject to a $75 late-cancel / no-show fee, charged to the card on file.
-
Yes, within the limits of the law. Your clinician will review confidentiality and its limits during intake, including situations that involve risk of harm, suspected abuse or neglect, or a valid court order. Please review our Notice of Privacy Practices as part of intake.
-
No. TrailMarker Clinical Group provides counseling, not psychiatry or medication management. If medication may help, your clinician can discuss referral options.
-
TrailMarker is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or need immediate help, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. You can also call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Tell your clinician your physical location at the start of each telehealth session so we can support safety planning.
